Griffith Park
Griffith Observatory
The Art Deco domes on Mount Hollywood.
View tourThe 45-foot letters on Mount Lee — the most recognizable sign on Earth.
Built in 1923 as an advertisement reading "HOLLYWOODLAND," the sign lost its last four letters in 1949 and became the symbol of the entertainment industry. From the air you see what hikers can't: the full sweep of Mount Lee, Lake Hollywood reservoir below it and the Griffith Park ridgeline stretching east toward the Observatory.
